After OldRed, what came next?

After OldRed was built it sat on its own for a number of years before the second generation of the park was built.  Added to create the first skatepark in St Neots were wooden ramps built by local BMXers and a large tarmac area for flat land, jump ramps, grind bars and what ever we could use or build!

this is how the skatepark remained for a good number of years until...

The year was 2001 and fortunately for us, a St Neots local took an interest in the future of the skatepark.

Rob Murray saw the importance of the skatepark and that if it were to have a future at all, it needed a lot of work.

Leap forward to the creation of the NRG (new ramp group) with the help of Penny Litchfield, local community development officer at HDC (Huntingdon District Council) and local youth services, we came together to work on the new skatepark.  It was a 4 year process from coming together, designing and the build.
